9:00 AM: Cinco de Mayo Mixed Surface Ride - 40 miles

Sunday Mixed Surface Ride - Intermediate

Planned group trail/neighborhood/road ride from Kane County Government Center to South Elgin for ~40 miles.  There will be a water stop halfway.

As a portion of this ride is on limestone/gravel segments, trail/cross/gravel bikes strongly recommended.  Road bikes with wide tires should be OK, but there could be soft/mud sections.

This is a NO DROP ride though you should be aware of the expected average speed 14+ MPH.  Accordion riding expected (riders will separate and regroup (at safe distance) at major turns).  Strongly suggest you have a map/cue sheet of the route and/or loaded on your GPS/phone.

Rear lights required.  Front lights and high-visibility apparel strongly recommended to enhance personal safety.

Safety is our top priority!  Please be familiar with our safety protocols and cycling rules.

Please bring a change of clothes as many of us will plan post-ride meal and rehydration at Del Barrio Mezcaleria, 507 S 3rd St Unit B, Geneva, IL.

Hope to see you there!
