Sunday Road Ride - High Intermediate

Planned Club Centuries (Metric or Imperial) from Harter Middle School on two separate loops.  Both routes are identical up to mile 44, after which they separate. This will allow everyone to start, and stay together, through the first two rest stops.  Multiple water stops on each route.  Recommend you upload both routes onto your GPS/phone.  Should the weather deteriorate during the ride, there are several options for shortcuts back to start.      

Metric Century Route

This is a NO DROP ride though you should be aware of the expected average speed 16+ MPH.  Accordion riding expected (riders will separate and regroup (at safe distance) at major turns).  Strongly suggest you have a map/cue sheet of the route and/or loaded on your GPS/phone.

Objective is to keep everyone together during the majority of the ride at the advertised pace.  A separate Advanced Pace (18+ mph) group may start out with us and speed ahead during the ride, either on the planned course or elsewhere.  We will not stay with them.

Rear lights required.  Front lights and high-visibility apparel strongly recommended to enhance personal safety.

Safety is our top priority!  Please be familiar with our safety protocols and cycling rules.

Please bring a change of clothes as many of us will plan post-ride meal and rehydration at Obscurity Brewing, 113 W N St, Elburn, IL.
