PM - ZWIFT Meetup
Join us for a Zwift meetup on your trainer after work.
Join our weekly ZWIFT group rides called “Meetups.” These are virtual group rides with a “Stay Together” feature which equates to a No Drop ride. This means that riders of all levels can join the same Meetup and participate regardless of pace.
NOTE - you will need a trainer and the Zwift application (available for computers, phones, tablets and AppleTV), the Zwift Companion app for your phone or tablet and the Discord app (optional but highly recommended) to join the meetups.
The pertinent links are:
https://www.zwift.com - the main Zwift site to establish and account and find out how to set it up.
https://zwiftinsider.com - a very handy resource with lots of Zwift information.
https://zwiftinsider.com/using-discord/ - help on using Discord while Zwifting.
NOTE - to be invited to the meetup, you should add the following to your Zwift username: "(FVBSC)". You will also need to follow me "Jerry Shields (FVBSC)" so I can invite you. Do all this in the Zwift Companion app as that will be the way we manage meetups and is very handy to have active when you are Zwifting as well.
I will invite everyone with that string in their name to each meetup. You will NOT have to register via Club Express as Zwift does all the necessary registration to join the meetup.
Also if you download the Discord app to your phone we will be using that to be able to talk with each other during the meetup. I will be using the FVBSC server channel-a for communication. We will probably take a meetup or two to get everyone properly setup but it's even more fun to be able to talk within the group, something that's harder to do on outside rides.
Below is a screen capture of the Discord server connection.
