2024 FVBSC Swedish Day Worker's Ride
This well received event is a FVBSC tradition!
The Worker's Ride is the club’s annual THANK YOU to all the volunteers who have supported club events over the past year. See the list of qualifying activities below. It’s a great opportunity to pre-ride part of the course and also a chance to meet and ride with other club members that you may not have met before.
There will be refueling and hydration options at the start/finish and rest stop along with SAG support. We try to make it a special ride, so make sure to sign-up so we have enough goodies for everyone.
Remember to wear your favorite FVBSC or Swedish Day Ride kit for the photo op!
We’ll be updating this posting as we get closer to the big day along with watching the weather forecast. So far Saturday is looking good! Temps starting in the low 60's increasing to mid-70's. Single digit winds. The 7:00am riders may want to bring arm warmers if you have them.

The Rides
If you have a bike computer or regularly use your phone for navigation, it's always a good idea to download the routes even though we'll have ride leaders.
7:00am Ride
The early crew will do the Swedish Days GREEN loop of 22.3 miles. Average pace 16-18mph. No rest stop, so fill those water bottles accordingly and grab a snack.
NOTE: 7:00 is the Roll Time. Plan on being at the school earlier with enough time to get prepped. We'll do a quick pre-ride photo op and announcement at 6:55.

9:00am Ride
We’ll do a slightly modified RED loop of 31.5 miles which takes us down to Plano for a rest stop at Plano High School. As in the past we’ll break into 2 groups. A 16-18mph group and then a more recreational paced group. No need to push the pace. It’s not a race! Have fun and have a conversation when traffic permits.
NOTE: 9:00 is the Roll Time. Plan on being at the school earlier with enough time to get prepped. We'll do a quick pre-ride photo op and announcement at 8:55. The 7:00am riders will be fully loaded up on snacks & liquids by then. :-)
