About this event
Are you new to cycling and looking to learn the basics, such as bike handling skills, safety and etiquette? This Novice ride features an average slower pace of 10-12 MPH on trails and neighborhood streets. This will be a flat ride, but there is no guarantee we won’t encounter a hill or two. Your ride leader will coach and educate.
This is a No Drop ride.
Please have your bicycle in good mechanical working order. If your bicycle has visible issues (flat tires, etc.), you will not be permitted to ride.
Please be ready to roll promptly at the posted start time. That means you should plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to get your bike out of the car and yourself ready to go. We will not wait for participants that drive into the parking lot at the start time.
Safety is our top priority! Be familiar with our safety and cycling rules; please consider taking the Bike Safety Quiz to enhance your safety knowledge.
Registration is required (click REGISTER NOW box), helmets, front and rear lights are required, high visibility apparel is recommended especially early and late in the season when we encounter darkness, dress in layers.
