8:15 AM: Halloween Trail/Neighborhood Ride - ~45 miles

Trail/Neighborhood ride from Kane County Government Center to Oswego, with several potential gas station stops along the way.  Primary route using the Fox River, Gilman and Waubonsie Creek Trails, with a few local neighborhoods worked in.

This is primarily a paved route, through there are a few sections that are limestone/gravel.  Cross/trail bikes recommended.  There is no specific lunch stop, though options may exist afterwards.  We should be back in time for afternoon Halloween celebrations.

This is a NO DROP ride with expected overall average ride pace of 14-16 mph. Accordion riding expected (riders will separate and regroup (at safe distance) at major turns).  Strongly suggest you have a map/cue sheet of the route and/or loaded on your GPS/phone.

Please also note the following:

• In accordance with Restore Illinois Phase 4 guidelines, Minimum Social Distancing rules must be followed (strongly recommend more than 6 feet while riding).

• Any riders wanting to join MUST text me (630-531-4366) prior to 8:00 PM Friday night confirming they wish to ride. This is so that I know who is planning to join in the event of a last-minute change of start time or cancelation due to weather.  NO TEXT, NO RIDE.

• For any/all stops, riders must wear a mask to enter public facilities.

• Non-FVBSC Members/Guests:  We encourage riders who do not know about the Club to take us out for a "test ride" or two.  A waiver must be signed by non-Members prior to the ride.  Per our Insurance company's guidelines, a guest may join a Club ride for a maximum of two events.  After that, they must be a Club member to continue riding with us.  This is for liability insurance reasons, as well as supporting expenses for the Club website, RidewithGPS Club subscription, etc.  Any questions, please contact me @ caseycordon@yahoo.com.

Look forward to completing this goal with you on Saturday!  Please Stay Safe.
